Then Bob Mugalia, after receiving a good pass just past the halfway line, beat the entire Ulinzi defence, including the goalie, but his chipped ball struck the right upright

But this first match at the National Stadium, degenerated into a drub affair ending in an unexciting stalemate.

Lawrence Owino of Ulinzi Stars came close to scoring in the 42nd minute but his effort was cleared off the line by Edgar Ochieng’.

Ulinzi [39], however, clung on to the top of the table three points ahead of Gor Mahia and Tusker who jointly share the second slot with 37 points each
