Opiyo, Tiema trade places |
Former AFC Leopards goalkeeper Barnabas Tiema has joined Sofapaka on a two year deal after the experienced custodian parted ways with Ingwe. Tiema replaces goalkeeper George Opiyo who had been signed up earlier in the week but the team doctor’s report revealed that he will need at least 12 months to recover from a knee injury he suffered while at Tusker. The club has thus reached an amicable solution with the keeper to revoke his contract and enlist Tiema for the 2014 season. Tiema will thus join captain Duncan Ochieng and David Okello as the third goalie in the team while the youthful Victor Ligingo is set to leave on loan. |
