Chairman salutes the fans |
Club President Elly Kalekwa has lauded the Sofapaka fans who took the chance to vote for the team to finish among the top four in the Kenya Power Charity Cup. Sofapaka was fourth on the tally with 3636 votes to grab the chance to defend the trophy won in 2013 and the President says their belief in the team will not be in vain.
“I want to thank the fans for this achievement; it is them who have put the team there and we promise not to disappoint; we will not let them down. For all their money and resources spent to make sure the team gets to defend the trophy, we can’t take it for granted. “I believe this is our year and we want to make the fans part of that as well because they are an important part of our existence as a club”, he said. Sofapaka will take on Gor Mahia in their opening clash of the tournament.
